#89 Jademist Dancer

Fight with the RNG and get your own Jademist Dancer!

He has a shocking lack of 'da moves'

Alludra the mage here helping you get all the pets!

Well me first!

Since we are doubles still on the timeless isle, let's talk about the jademist dancer!

This guy is soooo annoying! See he only drops from the jademist dancers found next to the ghost ship summoning location. These guys are kind of easy to take on, but the competition can be fierce! One other fellow farmer can have the place cleared out in no time, and two? Forget about it! The best thing to do is try and group up with the competition, but sometimes people are...less than friendly.

Anyway, it's worth battling the RNG for this guy! Why? Well this elemental is a mini version of the mobs you have been slaughtering this whole time! Totally cute! He's also got a great mix of water, magic, and elemental abilities, making him pretty useful!

. . .just...don't ask me how long it took to kill one for myself! Not as long as the barridan fox kit, but still more than I ever want to admit to.

Stupid RNG.

#88 Azure Crane Chick

Drop chances abound! Where do you pay off the RNG on the timeless isle?

The innocent face, OF DECEPTION!

Alludra the mage here, hunting up the pets so you don't have to!

This week's pet is the amazing, the astounding azure crane chick! You can get this pet by looting the crane nests on the timeless isle! Yup, that's it, just loot the nest...

and aggro every crane around it! These guys typically don't put up too much of a fight, but that didn't stop me from invis-ing my way out of it!

The bummer about the azure crane chick is that in spite of the item you loot being rare or blue quality it's only a green or uncommon quality pet! Which means you need to have a (flying) stone at the ready! Gah! As if fighting the RNG boss over this pet once wasn't enough!

This is the second pet in my experience to downgrade upon learning, the first being the hyacinth macaw.

#87 Ruby Droplet

How to get the amazingly adorable ruby droplet pet!!

Download link

------------------------------------------------

Alludra the Mage here helping you find the pets that you want for your army

We are on the timeless isle what are we doing? Something about gear upgrades, I hear, but you know what really matters? The pets!

The pet I wanted most from this patch is the Ruby Droplet, who drops off Garnia, the mob of the way out of the way spot! She spawns on the ruby falls and most players get there by catching the seagull express.

Because that's an awesome way to spend five minutes!

But if you have more timeless coins then you know what to do with, my suggestion is buying a stack of gliders for 1000 of them, then swimming out to the timeless ocean getting on a flying mount and flying way waaay up toward the ceiling! Yes, this means you will have a fatigued bar, but before you run out of time dismount and equip that glider! You will easily and much more quickly get to the ruby falls where Garnia spawns.

Then...you wait

and wait...

and then wait some more! She spawns anywhere from 30 min to an hour after killed

and be careful! If you die, you are going to have to get up the mountain again, because there's no way to reach your body!

#86 Timeless Isle Moths

The three wild pets of the Timeless Isle!!

Alludra the mage here, helping you find the pets in this brave new world!

Okay patch 5.4 is out!! And with it 33 new pets!

Three of these pets are found just wondering where they want to all over the timeless isle! They are the Ashwing moth, the Flamewing moth and the Skywisp moth!

All three of these guys are flying pets, and are found pretty much everywhere! They are level 25 so pet catchers beware as they also come with 2 additional pets during the battle!

As far as moths go, these guys are awesome! I love their pretty white wings! They look all mystical! The biggest difference between these guys seems to be appearance, one is all white one is red and white and one is blue and white.

So if you have a moment between treasure hunting I highly suggest adding them to your collection! They are too cute!

#85 Stunted Direhorn

Let's redefine PvP! Now it's Pet vs. Pet!

Hardly a battle hardened warrior face

Alludra the Mage here finding the pets so you don’t have to!

 Thanks Scott!

This week we are talking about a pet that I am betting that a lot of you have been putting off, how dare I? Well I’m putting off getting him too! Yes, we are talking about the Stunted Direhorn. The Stunted direhorn is different because we aren’t talking about another pet that we are killing endless mobs for, there’s no currency or drop rate, this guy is won by achievement.

But not just any achievement, no no, a pet battle achievement. You have to battle and win no less than 250 pvp pet battles. Wait WHAAAAA?

Yeah that’s right you have to queue up for and win TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY pvp pet battles! And to top it all off, no pet battles prior to 5.3 counted toward the achievement! Yeah! All that hard work! Down the drain!

The bright side is that there are reports of the progress toward this pet being account wide! Meaning you don’t have to spend your time on the same character, allowing for some convenience and flexibility.

You know, in winning 250 pet battles.

 Ugh.

#84 Ghaz'Rhooki

Ghaz'rhooki is back! We don't know where he was hiding all these years but Vol'jin seems to have found him!

Alludra the Mage here, helping you battle your way through Azeroth!

One of the coolest pets out there right now is Ghaz'rooki! He's currently available in the battlefield Barrens for the price of one Radical Mojo! How do you get one of these bad boys? Well you do the weekly quest (Battlefield: Barrens for both factions) collecting 150 of each resource! No small feat considering we are talking stone, oil, meat and lumber.

**Please note, the vendor that sells this guy is located just outside Razor Hill at (49, 40) in the Barrens. The same vendor is used for the Alliance and the Horde! That's right, tyrant disposal knows no faction lines!**

But in 5.4 this is all going to change! Ghaz'rooki is going to become a zone wide drop, meaning that he's going to become even harder to farm in the future.

So why work so hard? Ghaz'Rooki is an aquatic pet with beast and aquatic moves. Kind of unusual but defiantly worth a look. Did I mention he's a three headed hydra? Oh yeah! Totally awesome!

#81 The Eye (Tempest Keep)

Continuing the raiding with leashes 2 achievement, with the eye.

Alludra the Mage here catching the pets and sharing the info!

We are continuing our tour of raiding with leashes two with The Eye (Tempest Keep) out in Netherstorm. Yup allll the way out there! Luckily we pretty much all have flying mounts now!

Another raid with a mount drop, we are actually going to focus on the guys typically skipped in this place! Yeah! Remember them?

Just in case you don't Al'ar the mount we are all after's namesake can drop the phoenix hawk hatchling. Unfortunately this little dragonkin isn't Al'ar in miniature.

The loot, I mean void reaver has a chance of dropping the ever cute mechanical pocket reaver!

And the final boss we are hunting down is the HighAstromancer Solarian, she drops the lesser voidcaller. An adorable magic void pet that can help all you warlocks out there coordinate your follower pet with your whole warlock-y look.

And just like that we are one step closer to getting our achievement! Good luck out there guys, and happy hunting!

#80 Karazhan

The new raiding with leashes achievement is out! Find out what pets await you in that fantastic raid of Karazhan!

Alludra the Mage here helping you find all the pets

One of the big events in 5.3 is the all new raiding with leashes achievement, this one is attunement style which has a lot to do with burning crusade attunements.

This first segment about the all new raiding with leashes takes us to Karazhan.

Karazhan has 4 pets in it! Yay!

The big bad wolf Opera Event has a chance to drop the Lil Bad Wolf pet. Please note, this means that you actually have to get the big bad wolf event for you to get a chance! Fun right??

Terestian Illhoof, the guy behind that hidden door in the library room with the imps can drop the Fiendish Imp.

And finally Prince Malchezaar can drop the Netherspace Abyssal. To unlock him though you not only have to get through the fiendish Chess Event, but also kill Attuman the Huntsman and Moroes.

And guys, chess is as fiendish as ever! Big thanks to The Jaded Hunter for an excellent strategy that has me one-shotting this guy each and every time, regardless of faction.

#79 The Unborn Val'Kyr

The biggest pet of the newest patch, what is truth and what is myth! We talk the Unborn Val'kyr

The myth lives!

Alludra the Mage here finding the pets the hard way.

So the biggest new pet in 5.3 is the Unborn Val'kyr, and I don't mean size wise, but the amount of discussion she's generating.

Mumper on twitter announced that she had no set spawn points, a really interesting and  cool idea! And hinted that she had specific spawning conditions, but the collectors are getting together and pooling our resources and noticing that she tends to spawn in three spawn points per zone.

In the interest of not boring you with a string of numbers you will quickly forget, I'll tell you right now I will have the info up on alludraspets.com. (See below!)

The Unborn Val'kyr is a level 21-23 undead pet, so make sure you have a critter ready to go! Currently she won't follow flying pets, but that's in the works to get fixed! (Fixed as of 05/24) She also raises dead nearby critters, restoring them to life!

Dude! your own personal undead pet army! That sounds awesome!!

Northrend maps of confirmed spawns: (Via Wowhead)
Crystalsong Forest
Icecrown
Sholazar Basin
Borean Tundra
Dragonblight
Howling Fjord
Grizzly Hills
Zul'Drak
Storm Peaks

Good luck!!

#78 Spectral Porcupette

Did someone say Ghost porcupette? What is this, Icecrown??

Aww! He looks at home!

Alludra the Mage here helping you find the pets before they find you.

So...let's head back to the isle of giants! Remember it's that isle that is totally not of a cretin prehistoric period preserve of the time period wild life.

This week we are there for whole sale slaughter! What! These guys should be extinct! Let's make them that way all good and proper!

But there's a reason behind all this besides restoring balance to the timeline, you see the bones of these dinos are currency! Ku'ma a rather spectral looking troll, is a rather odd  guy who wants these bones!

We don't know why, and we aren't going to ask. You can visit him yourself if you want to though,  the entrance to his cave is at 27, 57.

He hands out quests asking for bones and for the Spectral Porcupette he wants no less than 999. The Spectral Porcupette is actually a quest reward for his quest a large pile of dinosaur bones.  So if you want to add this magic pet to your collection get yourself out there and start the killing.

#77 Carp Brothers

Alludra discusses where to get the rest of the tiny carp, and their differences.

Alludra the Mage here

When we last left our intrepid host she was talking about tiny carp and how to get them. Will she leave us hanging? How do you get these fish? Why does only this segment have an announcer?

Well I was just about to get to that! Jeez!

The Tiny Red Carp can be caught in the spinefish schools and in the fish of the day pools in binan village coast.

Tiny Green Carp can be caught in emperor salmon, jade lungfish and krasarang paddlefish schools. And on fish of the day pools in the enchanted woods of the lost, krasari falls, and stormstout brewery.

Tiny White Carp can be fished up in giant mantis shrimp, reef octopus, and tiger gourami regular pools as well as the fish of the day pools in gokk'lok shallows, master snowdirf's pagota, and shri-La village.

All if this is of course not mentioning the open waters that they can be caught in. But don't risk it, the numbers are in, and it turns out that you have the best chance of catching them in the pools!

So I bet you are wondering why catch all three? Well, each carp actually knows different attacks from his brothers, making them entirely unique!

All the information was found at El's anglin, the best Warcraft fishing site out there! Check the site for more in depth look at the pool locations and where to find the fish!

#76 Tiny blue carp

Alludra goes on a fishy hunt...it's been...fun...

Alludra the Mage here, finding pets first so you can catch them more easily!

If you can believe it, I have been spending the majority of my warcraft time...fishing.

Hey, sometimes you just need a break from the grind, other times...there are pets involved. Like the Tiny Blue Carp! These guys can be fished up in the open waters of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, or in crowded redbelly mandarin pools during the anglers event. This guy is the best carp out there, and not because he's cool, his stats beat out his brothers!

Did you know there are daily fishing events? Because before I started fishing for these carps, I had no clue! Turns out once a day there is a place in Pandaria that just goes crazy with the fishing nodes! To find out find Ben of the Booming Voice who is along the path by the inn on the way out of Halfhill.

Ben is pretty awesome, he'll tell you where to go fish, and mark the fish's location on the map for you!

Well I am out of time! And I only discussed the blue carp! Next time I'll try to talk about the other carps out there!

#75 Spawn of G'nathus

Alludra hunts down the spawn of G'nathus, a pretty easy fight with a guaranteed reward!

Alludra the Mage here helping you find the pets!

Because there are too many to track nowadays!

One of the newer pets out and on the prowl is The Spawn ofG'nathus. This guy drops from G'nathus, a completely soloable elete if you like kiting, found over on the isle of Shan'ze Dao in Towne Long Steppes. You k now, that island where we did all those crazy shadow pan dalies? Yeah! There!

Me and a bunch of guildies spent a completely enjoyable evening taking this guy down to get the pet, which seems to have a 100% drop rate! If you are crazy enough to try and kite this guy, remember he falls for all sorts of traps and snares, being a big eel and all, and he also can hit for about 70k every 5-10 seconds and has the health of a big elete eel.

So, yeah bring some friends! His spawn time isn't that long and heck, good times had by all!

#74 Throne of Thunder (Updated!)

The pets of the Throne of Thunder raid, where they are and how to get them!

New happy updated version!!

Alludra the Mage here catching the pets to beat you in duels!

I've had a really great run in pvp battles, can ya tell?

It's a good thing too because blizzard did something terrible  Guys, they put pets in progression raiding. Don't believe me, well let's head on over to, the Throne of Thunder

The Living Sandling is the first pet in the zone you...might come across. This little guy is a raid wide drop, which means he can drop off trash or bosses alike. While this is great, I want you to think back at how often raid zone drops have dropped for you in the past. And now think of a pet with that chance.  I thought he was a raid wide drop but it turns out he dropps from the council of elders. (I should know better then to do research while sick...) Wowhead is currently reporting a 4% drop rate, so....yay...

The next pet is the Son of Animus who drops from none other than the Dark Animus. He's a cool looking mechanical pet that seems to have a crazy low drop rate.

Finally there is the Ji-Kun Hatchling dropping from Ji-Kun and proving that no raid boss should participate in take your child to work day. this flying pet has a reported  1% drop rate so keep those feathers crossed.

Don't worry though all these guys also drop in LFR, but that also means you have to run with the people you find in an LFR.

I suggest saving your Mogu Runes of Fate for Ji-Kun and the Dark Animus for a second chance at those pets.

Maaan....like I didn't already want a raid team...

#73 Beasts of Fable

The beasts of fable quest line and how to get some majorly cute pandas!

Captureable versions of the legendary pet can be found nearby!

Alludra the Mage here doing the work so you can catch the pets!

Pandaria is full of fantastic wild life, amazing new sights and of course pandas! But all that pales in comparison to the beasts of fable.

This quest line is only available to those intrepid pet collectors who have defeated all of the tamers in Kalimdor, eastern kingdoms, Outland, Northrend and Pandaria! If you still want to pet battle after this, Beasts of fable is a quest you can pick up afterward!

This quest line has you hitting all the zones in Pandaria to battle 10 legendary wild pets out in the wild. Sadly, these guys aren't tamable. But they are mostly critters, beast, and aquatic pets found on their own. So you can take them out with a good pet or two at max level.

At the end of the quest you are awarded with the red panda pet! So cute! But the beasts of fable quest then turns into a daily. Yeah! You can defeat all ten pets every single day! Joy!

But seriously, there's a bag that you get at the end of the daily that can have the other panda pets inside! They are the Mountain Panda, the Snowy Panda and the Sunfur Panda! All three are of course beasts, but not legendary quality.

#72 Zandalari Dinosaurs

Alludra discusses the new Zandalari Dinosaurs...again! April fool's joke that's misstimed? Brain fert? You be the judge!

Another great shot of that same night!

Alludra the mage here helping you get the pets to make your collection unbeatable!
5.2 is here! Huzzah! And to celebrate we are off to the Isle of

wait where's the music?

what do you mean he wanted too much?

what a ripoff.

Anyway we are off to the Isle of Giants, which is actually really to scale and totally isn't some sort of Jurassic era preserve of beasts of the era.

While there we are looking for the Zandalari Dinomancers! These sparse mobs are doing more then 'mancing the dinos, they are actually taming them! Yeah! And hunters need tomes! Don't worry though, unlike everyone else on the island, these guys are totally solo-able.

Their voodo is super effective! They ahve the chance to drop not one, not two but FOUR dino pets! Zandalari Anklerender, ZandalariFootslasher, Zandalari Kneebiter, and Zandalari Toenibbler. Yes! I got that right! It IS zandalari and not zalandari!

Now you may have heard these guys have a phenominal drop rate, well...that's not true, at least not anymore! A recent patch has set the drop rate back to 5%. Man, they caught us at is quickly!
But all these little guys are also tradeable! So if you cant' find that last one, or you have too many dinos to keep, you can AH the little beasts for a nice profit!

(Yes this is a reapeat, sorry about that! But in two years of doing this, it's my first!)

#71 Isle of Giants

We explore the pets of 5.2 in the Isle of Giants! A place not only full of tiny pets, but also is oddly to scale.

They all got in the way!

Alludra the Mage here, helping you get the pets now that the world is growing larger.

And speaking of larger, now in  5.2 we have an Isle of Giants! This is pretty...actually I feel like we are all to scale, what's up with that? But it's still pretty cool in an Isle of Quel'Danas meets Tol Barad sort of way. Either way, there's pets here and we can't be avoiding that!

While you are out doing...dailies, keep a look out for Zandari Dinomancers! These guys are...well they are mobs found not everywhere but they have a chance of dropping new pets when you defeat them!

What pets? Well how about the Zandalari Anklerender the Zandalri Toenibbler the Zandalari Keebiter and the Zandalari Footslasher. Yes! all these pets! Wow! And if you think that's impressive just think: I mispronounced them all on Battle Pets!

Seriously though these cute little dino beasts are all totally adorable and different colors, for outfit coordination I imagine!

So head on out there and start your own dino collection! They are so cute who could pass them up?

#70 Imperial silkworm & Imperial Moth

Tailoring gives life! But not creepy puppet life. That would have been really awesome! Instead we attract bugs. Fun.

Alludra the mage here helping you build your pet army!

Little known fact, I'm a tailor! I make awesome dresses that are lovely and boost my stats

....aw who am I kidding? I make them in bulk and DE them!

BUT there is more to being a tailor then simply creating clothes that turn into magic dust! For now we can CREATE LIFE!!

Or more like attract life to our creations! What! It totally makes sense! You see Tailors have to pilgrimage to the silken fields in the valley of the four winds once a day to create imperial silk. (Yeah! A cool down! Can you believe it??) Imperial silk costs 8 bolts of wind wool cloth to make so make sure you keep all your cloth drops!

Now you'd think you just get your cloth at that point and go on your marry way, finding new ways to DE your clothes for enchanting dirt, but that's not the case here! You actually get a silkworm cocoon when you make the cloth! Inside this we have a chance to find the Imperial silkworm or the imperial moth pets! These guys are uncommon or green quality, so to get these guys competitive you are going to need a critter battle-stone for your silkworm and a flying battle-stone for your moth.

#69 Arcane Eye and Restless shadeling

Deadwind pass used to be famous for only one thing, and that's all anyone cared about! Then came the pets!!

Alludra the mage here, doing the work hunting down the pets so you don't have to!

Deadwind pass is a zone whose big claim to fame is that Karazan is located there. Oh sure there are some ogres and a few buzzards I think, but really? It's all about Kara.

Or at least it WAS, until the pets came.

Deadwind pass is home to two unique pets in the wow-a-verse. The first is the Arcane Eye. This guy is everywhere watching....the Ogres I guess. Or perhaps keeping a silent count for how often you run for the huntsman's mount! This magic pet spawns on a relatively short timer and can be found all over the area above ground by Kara.

By contrast the Restless Shadeling can only be found in the early mornings (think midnight and afterwards!) Underground in the nearby cellars of what used to be a bustling community of alive people, these shadelings appear to drive collectors crazy as cross realm zones can be unpredictable with their time zones. The time zones can change throughout the day so be careful

#68 Flayer Youngling

Flayer Younglings are OP! Or are they? We take a look and tell you how to get one of these little huminoids!

Alludra the Mage here helping you find the pets, catch the pets and keep the pets for fun and profit!
Let's go on a humanoid hunt! Specifically let's hunt down a Flayer Youngling!

I've been hearing a lot about these guys lately, and it's true they have some great moves, but they are not the power houses that everyone is making them out to be. So sorry guys, the quest for that illusive pet is still going.

You can find these guys on the border of Terrokkar and Hellfire Peninsula right on the border at the top of the bordering mountains in the areas covered by thorns. You are going to need flight for this guys. heck, I didn't even know this area existed!

These guys have a level range 17-19, so plan your trip accordingly! These guys also are not a continuous spawn, meaning that you may make the trip out there for nothing. The nearby mobs are level 70-72 so look out! I didn't even know the Outlands went that high!

And if you missed these guys during your first sweep of the Outlands, don't worry, they were just recently added in 5.1.

#67 Fluxfire feline & Irradiated Cockroach

Alludra explains how to find that Fluxfire Feline, and while you are there you might as well grab an Irridiated Roach too...gnomes...

Alludra the Mage here helping you catch the pets you need to win the battles.

I am just crazy for wild mechanical pets! The idea that a group of renegade robots broke free to live in the wild along with their animal kin makes me smile, and of course want to run out and grab all of them that I can find. The Fluxfire Feline is no exception to this crazy rule.

Found in the peaks of Dun Morogh, or more accurately hopefully found in those peaks. I found tons of them underground in the area of the gnomish starting zone. Don't be discouraged if you can't find them there though, they are also found in the gnomish buildings all over the zone.

Also while you are there give a look out for the Irradiated Roach. This little bugger can also be difficult to find, which is odd for a radioactive cockroach. :/

Since these pets are found near the starting zones they are level 1. So get your turnip out or a comparable level pet before catching them.

Because those level 25's can one shot them way too easily!

#66 Naxxramas

Part 4 of raiding with leashes takes us to the dread citadel Naxxramas to free the pets inside! Not only did this place up and ditch the old world, but you also need a flying mount to get in!

Alludra the Mage here collecting pets and taking names.

Part 4 of Raiding with Leashes takes us to the floating citadel of Naxxramas. The pets here are tucked away deep inside of their respective wings. How deep? Well 2/3 of them are at the end.

Nice.

I found this place to be laughably easy if you are level capped and bring a friend above level 85. Some of those bosses can still have a little bite.

So who are we looking for? Well head on over to the plague quarter. There you will have to kill all the big mean nasties to get to Loatheb. There you have a chance to get the Fungal Abomination.

Up next is the arachnid wing, and yup! We are heading to the end. Maexxna the spider queen has the Giant Bone Spider pet in her clutches!

Finally let's head on over to the construct quarter. Don't worry we don't have to get to the end of this place, just to the second boss Gluth who somewhat reluctantly dropped the Stitched Pup.

And that's it! All three of these pets are undead and totally awesome looking. Once you get them and the other raid pets you should be awarded your very own Mr. Bigglesworth, an undead kitty!

#65 AQ 40

Part 3 of 4 of raiding with leashes takes us to AQ 40! What pets will we find, can we solo a level 60 40-man raid? Why are the twin emperors so darned difficult?

Alludra the Mage here, helping you out in your epic quest to build the ultimate pet army!
Part 3 of four in our quest for raiding with leashes has us going back to the raids to get the next three pets we need!

AQ 40! Man I wish I had memories of this place in it's prime. Sadly I wasn't even high enough level to help with the opening event of the place. But that's not going to stop me from diving pretty deep to get the pets found here!

The first pet of AQ 40 is the mini mindslayer and drops off the first boss in the place the Prophet Skeram, talk about convenient right? Well don't get used to it. This guy is still a cake walk and if you solo him you don't have to worry about that mind control mechanic! Talk about easy!

The Viscidus Globule drops off of Viscidus, a boss that has until 5.1 been impossible to solo because of his mechanics. The trick here is to use frost abilities to freeze him quickly. Mages and DK's can have it pretty easy, but hunters, priests, and just about anyone else with frost abilities can get this guy down quick! The biggest hassle to him nowadays is the amount of raid between you and him!

Anubisath Idol, a humanoid pet drops off Vek'lor of the twin emperors fame. This is the one fight I had no idea how to solo, so, I didn't! I dragged a friend or two along for the ride. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying I didn't want to try!

And that's it. The whole raid takes less time than ever now, and if you run it with a friend like I did, you can have tons of fun  getting the pets and the mounts that can't be used elsewhere.

heh, mounts...

#64 Harpy Youngling

In an exploration type mood, Alludra leaves the raids behind (for the moment!) and ventures forth to capture a new pet!

Believe it or not, this is a boy! (I don't get it either!)

Alludra the Mage here helping you find the pets that might not want to be found!

Let's get out of the raids for a while and out in the world!

This week's pet is the Harpy Youngling! These are found in the northern barrens in the north eastern part of the map over at the Dry Hills area. Trust me it's safe, Barrens chat isn't what it used to be.

These are humanoid pets, yay! and do not have any special spawning conditions, meaning if you don't see any in the area, just wait a bit. They are also pretty low level, around 3-4 making them a great target for newer players trying to round out their type collections or to add more verity to an existing roster.

For added fun this pet has a lot of flying type abilities so look out for them too at higher levels.

I wonder if there's a such thing as a critter with dragon type abilities?
